I believe in love at first sight. I always experience it everytime I’m in the shoe department. Shoes, sandals! Oh, I just love them! Wherever I go, my feet always have their share in my shopping list. I’ve been collecting sandals and leather shoes for quite some time. But just recently, a group of friends invited me for an out of town trip. I am so excited for it but one thing is missing to complete my outfits; sneakers. I have been searching for the hippest sneakers available but I was torn between two brands: Puma and Converse.
Converse has remained stylish, practical and a fashion statement and they can be seen on all types of people from every walk of life. They offers various styles fit for walking, running and adrenaline-rushing activities. Among their products, I am lured to the Chuck Taylor line. Wearing a pair seems so cool and hip. They have a multitude of colors and patterns like animal prints, sequins, plaid, metallic, and even band inspired ones, and different materials from classic canvas to leather, denim or suede. With such a variety to choose from there’s certainly a pair to suit my character. Or I can opt to purchase more than a pair to fit my every mood. Not to mention they’re attractive to men –something you can’t forget!
On the other hand, Puma has an array of girlish and attractive designs pleasing to my eyes. At times, I tend to go for the design over any other features. Puma is a perfect blend of sports shoes and fashion style. I especially love Puma’s Imani sneaker. It combines old-school style with modern functionality.
The Imani is a low-profile shoe that features the brand’s iconic formstripe detailing, sleek suede overlays and stretchy elastic straps over the instep for an easy-to-slip-on fit. It is soft and flexible on the foot due to its ultra cushiony footbed. This sounds perfect for my upcoming long walks so I’m thinking I may have found my pair.
But, deciding on which to choose wasn’t really easy for me. I loved them both. Converse Chuck Taylor had the edge of a lower price at around $50 though, while Puma’s Imani is around $60. Both are such a steal, considering how trendy they are. Maybe I should just get both!!
